Portraits are a powerful connection tool. It can also be challenging because you want to express all the beauty you see, but also knowing that everybody is particularly critical of themselves. My goal with a portrait is always to show a bit of how I see things and the process is full of making decisions of what I like as an artists, but also what will please my subject, so we can both meet halfway and understand the same message - you are beautiful, you are special, you are worthy.
