Red Riding Hood

How many wolves have we passed down the path? When do we start to not fear, but befriend? The wolf is a stranger, a toxic thought that can follow you and disguise under your eyes and almost fool you. But then you understand that trust should not be easily given, we must stay vigilant, yet open. My red riding hood befriended her own wolf - the voices of judgement that would say who she is or is not, those familiar voices that can eat you alive if you trust them to speak the truth. As a woman, this often reflects on embracing your own sexual expression. Her hood protects and yet it's transparent, her body is exposed and you might think is just a piece of meat, but the certainty of her eyes says something else. I have met wolves on my travels, and you can't fool me anymore.
